Allergy Alert - "Uncovered Huasheng" Recalled by Strong America Ltd. Co.

Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - New York State Agriculture Commissioner Nathan L. Rudgers announced today that Strong America Limited, 1177 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11237 is recalling approximately 150 lbs. of "Uncovered Huasheng" because they contain undeclared peanuts. People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recalled product, "Uncovered Huasheng," packaged in 12 ounce plastic bags is not coded. The labeling indicates product of China, along with other Asian writing.

This product was sampled by New York State Agriculture and Markets’ food inspectors during a routine inspection of a retail store in Western New York. Strong America Limited has indicated this product was distributed in New York City and Western New York. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product.

Consumers who have purchased this product are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund
