Greenwood Brand Pickled Beets May Contain Pieces of Glass

Rochester, NY (SafetyAlerts) - According to Agilink customer service, Agrilink Foods Inc. is recalling certain 16-ounce jars of Greenwood brand pickled beets because some jars may contain small pieces of glass.

The recalled Greenwood pickled beets, bear the lot number 9AH01 on the first line and M2KP6 on the second line.  Agilink Foods did not respond to inquires for additional information.

According to a story by the Assocated Press, published by the New Jersy Record, the product was distributed in Maine, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

Consumers should return the beets to the place of purchase for exchange, coupon or refund.
