Drug Administration (FDA) said today that BCN Trading Corporation is recalling certain CTF
and Asian Boy brand Pickled Eggplant because the product contains undeclared sulfites.
This is the first public notice of
this Class I
recall issued by FDA.
a) CTF brand Pickled Eggplant in 16-ounce glass jars; b) Asian Boy brand Pickled
Eggplant, in 16-ounce glass jars.
a) Combined Thai Foods, Company, Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand; b) Minh Nguyet Company, Ho Chi
BCN Trading Corporation, Brooklyn, New York, by letter dated January 28, 2000, and by
allergen alerts on January 26, 2000. Firm-initiated recall **complete.
**Completed recall: While the FDA has completed
processing of this particular recall, it does not mean this particular product has been
fully accounted for.
New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida,
Maryland, District of Columbia.
