OR (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Willow Family Foods, is recalling its Charley's
brand a) Egg Roll; b) Spring Roll with Beef Flavor; c) Spring Roll with Chicken Flavor,
6-ounce and 3-1/2 ounce sizes because the product contains undeclared FD&C Red No. 40.
This is the first public notice of
this Class III
recall issued by FDA.
Charley's brand a) Egg Roll; b) Spring Roll with Beef Flavor; c) Spring Roll with
Chicken Flavor, 6-ounce and 3-1/2 ounce sizes.
The code reflects the date of manufacture with the number "12" added to each
portion of the date. The last date of manufacture for the improperly labeled product
produced 7/21/00: (072100) would be 193312.
