Diego, CA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food
and Drug Administration (FDA) has reported that Bumble Bee Seafoods, Inc. is recalling its
Bumble Bee, Orleans, Libby, and Polar brands of 'Canned Tiny Shrimp' because some of the
cans the product is distributed in have metal plate flaws in the can end that could result
in perforation and leaking of the can, leading to spoiled product.
This is the first public notice of
this Class III
recall issued by FDA.
Canned Tiny Shrimp, in 4-ounce metal cans under the following brand names: Bumble Bee,
Orleans, Libby, and Polar.
V098T and V099T (Bumble Bee, Orleans and Libby);V099T (Polar).
