DesOwen(r) Cream (Desonide Cream) Recalled

Fort Worth, TX (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that Galderma Laboratories LP, is recalling its DesOwen(r) Cream (Desonide Cream) because of mislabeling - shipping cases were incorrectly labeled as containing ointment not cream form of product.

This is the first public notice of this Class III recall issued by FDA.

DesOwen(r) Cream (Desonide Cream), 0.05%, 60g tube.

Lot # PGCN.

MANUFACTURER
DPT Laboratories, Inc., San Antonio, Texas.

RECALLED BY
Galderma Laboratories LP, Fort Worth, Texas, by letter on August 9, 2000, followed by telephone. Firm-initiated recall ongoing.

DISTRIBUTION
Nationwide.

QUANTITY
4,920 units in 410 shipping containers were distributed.
