Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Stonefelt & Company is recalling its
Greenbank Farms Organic Medium Cheddar Cheese because the products may be contaminated
with Listeria monocytogenes.
This is the first public notice of
this Class I
recall issued by FDA.

Stonefelt & Company, Preston, Washington (cutter/packer), by fax on July 24, 2000, and
by press release on July 26, 2000, and August 1, 2000. **Completed recall resulted
from sample analysis and follow-up by the Washington State department of Agriculture.

DISTRIBUTION
Alaska, Washington state, Oregon, California.
QUANTITY
1,260 pounds were distributed.
