Cheddar Cheese Recalled
WA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Stonefelt & Company is recalling its
Greenbank Farms Organic Medium Cheddar Cheese because the products may be contaminated
with Listeria monocytogenes.
This is the first public notice of
this Class I
recall issued by FDA.
Greenbank Farms Organic Medium Cheddar Cheese.
All codes on the market at time of recall initiation.

Stonefelt & Company, Preston, Washington (cutter/packer), by fax on July 24, 2000, and
by press release on July 26, 2000, and August 1, 2000. **Completed recall resulted
from sample analysis and follow-up by the Washington State department of Agriculture.
**Completed recall: While the FDA has completed processing of this particular recall,
it does not mean this particular product has been fully accounted for.
Alaska, Washington state, Oregon, California.
1,260 pounds were distributed.
