NJ (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Baroody Imports is conducting the recall of
Cortas brand Grape Vinegar because the product may contain undeclared sulfites.
This is the first public notice of
this Class III
recall issued by the FDA.
Cortas brand Grape Vinegar, in 1-liter containers.
Cortas SAR, Lattakia, Syria.
Baroody Imports, Clifton, New Jersey, by mail on March 24, 2000. Completed recall resulted
from sample analysis and follow-up by the New York State Department of Agriculture and
New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio,
Virginia, North Carolina.
102 cases (12 units per case) were distributed.
