Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Shata Trading, Inc. is conducting a recall
of Three Rivers brand Sweet Fennel because the product contained undeclared FD&C
Yellow No. 5, FD&C Yellow No. 6, and FD&C Red No. 3.
Three Rivers brand Sweet Fennel, packaged in 7-ounce flexible plastic bags.

All product on the market at time of recall initiation. BULK SUPPLIER Sriram Traders Inc.,
South Plainfield, New Jersey.
Shata Trading, Inc., Brooklyn, New York, by telephone and visit on September 8, 1999.
Completed field correction (relabeling) resulted from sample analysis and follow-up by the
New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. This is the first public
notice issued by the FDA.
