Cora brand Chopped Garlic in Water Recalled

First public notice issued by FDA of 'completed recall'...

Utica, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Diva Farms, Ltd. is conducting a recall of Cora brand Chopped Garlic in Water because the product was prepared and packed under unsanitary conditions whereby it may have been rendered injurious to health.

Cora brand Chopped Garlic in Water, in 7.5-fluid ounce jars.

Recall #F-615-0.  Class II


Diva Farms, Ltd., Utica, New York.

Manufacturer, by letter dated April 7, 2000. New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (NYSDAM) issued press release on April 7, 2000. Completed recall resulted from sample analysis and follow-up by the NYSDAM.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.

New York and Vermont.

45 cases (12 jars per case) were distributed.
