Springs, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Saratoga Beverage Group, Inc. is
conducting a recall of CVS Gold Emblem and Safeway Select brands of natural spring water
because the product is contaminated with yeast, mold, and particulates.
CVS Gold Emblem and Safeway Select brands of Natural Spring Water, in 1.5 liter plastic
FDA recall #F-608-0. Class III
All lot numbers include "PRO110299" followed by 3 or 4 numbers, followed by the
Saratoga Springs Water Company, Saratoga Springs, New York.
Saratoga Beverage Group, Inc., Saratoga Springs, New York, by telephone on or about June
6, 2000, followed by letter. Firm-initiated recall ongoing. Although this
recall began on the date above - this is the first public notice issued by the FDA.
4,954 cases (12 per case) were distributed.
