Kimbo Brand Fresh Italian Parsley Recalled

Santa Paula, CA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that F.F. Gonsalez Cilantro Farms Inc. is conducting a recall of Kimbo brand fresh Italian parsley because the product is contaminated with Shingella.

Kimbo brand of fresh Italian parsley, in 60-count waxed cardboard boxes.

Recall #F-602-0.  Class II


Ricardo Bravo, Maneadero, Mexico (grower).

F.F. Gonsalez Cilantro Farms Inc., Santa Paula, California (repacker/distributor), by fax on June 14, 2000, and letter on June 16,2000. Firm-initiated recall complete.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.

California, Nevada, Texas, Florida.

1,050 60-count boxes were distributed.
