New Hope, MN (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Universal International, Inc. is conducting a recall of Baron Creamy Peanut Butter because it contains 72 ppb of aflatoxin.

Bajaj Foods, Ltd., Ahmedabad, India.

RECALLED BY
Universal International, Inc., New Hope, Minnesota, voice mail messages on June 15, 2000. Firm-initiated recall complete.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.\

DISTRIBUTION
Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin.

QUANTITY
1,250 cases, (24 jars per case) were distributed.
