Earth City, MT (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Save-A-Lot Ltd. is conducting a recall of certain FruitFresh Strawberry Squares because the product contained tartrazine, an uncertified color and amaranth, an unapproved color.

FruitFresh Strawberry Squares, 5 pieces per clear plastic box, 7.1 ounces.

Recall #F-599-0. Class II

Authentic Cookies, also known as Isack's Cookie Factory, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Save-A-Lot Ltd., Earth City, Montana, by letter dated April 12, 2000. Firm-initiated recall complete. This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.


Firm estimates none remains on the market.

Product contained tartrazine, an uncertified color and amaranth, an unapproved color.
