WA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Premier Packing Company is conducting a
recall of various candies repacked by the recalling firm, sold in 1-pound clear plastic
bags because the products contain undeclared egg albumen, FD&C Yellow No. 5, FD&C
Yellow No. 6, and FD&C Red No. 40.
Various candies repacked by the recalling firm, sold in 1-pound clear plastic bags: a)
Assorted Fruit Slices; b) Raspberry Slices; c) Grapefruit Slices.
Recall #F-576/578-0. Class I
Premier Packing Company, Greenacres, Washington.
Manufacturer, by telephone on April 4, 2000, or by letter on April 21, 2000. Firm-
initiated recall complete. This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.
Firm estimates none remains on the market.
Products contain undeclared egg albumen, FD&C Yellow No. 5, FD&C Yellow No. 6, and
FD&C Red No. 40.
