Springdale, AR (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Db Foods, Inc. is conducting a recall of certain pasteurized liquid salt yolk because the product is contaminated with Salmonella.

Pasteurized Liquid Salt Yolk (C-mix [2/3 yolk, 1/3 whole egg and 10% salt]).

Recall #F-573-0. Class II

Lot #310-9. 

Db Foods, Inc., Springdale, Arkansas.

Manufacturer, by telephone on November 12, 1999, Followed by letter. Firm-initiated recall complete. This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.


44,980 pounds were distributed; firm estimates none remains on the market.

Product was contaminated with Salmonella.
