Armonk, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that The World's Best Cheeses, Inc. is conducting a recall of certain Chaource Auguste Lepetit because the product is not certified by the French government to export this type of product to the USA.

Chaource Auguste Lepetit (soft ripened Cheese).

Recall #F-567-0. Class II

066A-4619 printed on outer carton.

Saprolait Vaudes, St. Parres, France.

The World's Best Cheeses, Inc., Armonk, New York, by telephone and visit on April 3, 2000. Firm-initiated recall complete.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.

Firm estimates none remains on the market.

The manufacturer of the cheese is not certified by the French government to export this type of product to the USA.
