AL (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Barber Pure Milk Company, doing business
Barber Dairies, Inc., is conducting a recall of lemonade packaged in waxed cardboard quart
and pint cartons, because the product contained undeclared FD&C Yellow No. 5.
According to FDA, this recall affects
the quart codes of May 17, 2000 and July 3, 2000. The pint codes affected are
June 20, 2000 and July 3, 2000. Approximately 7,286 quarts and 9,690 pints were
distributed in Alabama. The firm estimates that none of the product remains on the

public notice issued by the FDA. The FDA has stated that the company has completed
all required recall procedures.
