Recalls Various Breads
WI (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that O & H Danish Bakery Inc. is conducting a
recall of certain Danish Rye Bread, German Rye Bread, Caraway Rye Bread, Large Round Rye
Bread, in loaves (which have a declared net weight of 1-pound 8-ounces) and Assorted Hard
Rolls, because the products contained undeclared eggs.
According to FDA this recall affects
all lots distributed prior to April 28, 2000. Approximately 300-pounds of the
product was distributed in Wisconsin.
People who have allergies to certain
foods run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these

the first public notice issued by the FDA. The FDA has stated that the company has
completed all required recall procedures.
