Chocolate Fruits and Nuts Recalled
Towne, ME (SafetyAlerts) - The Food
and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that LaBree's Bakery is conducting a recall
of certain 8" Single Layer Carrot Cake w/Creme Cheese Frosting (frozen), packed in
rigid plastic containers (8 inch/25 ounce), because the product contains undeclared
FD&C Blue No. 1
According to FDA, this recall affects
all products manufactured up to 4/25/00. Approximately 950 cases were distributed
from 4/10/00 to 4/25/00 in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania.
People who have allergies to certain
foods run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these
