Wheat Cracker Recalled
Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that Hadson Toko Trading Inc. is recalling Aji Zukushi
Y300 brand Mixed Wheat Cracker, packaged in 7.76-ounce flexible plastic bags, because the
product contained the uncertified color additive sunset yellow FCF (certifiable as
FD&C Yellow No. 6).
About 50 cases of the recalled
products were distributed in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Missouri,
Ohio, Montana and Illinois.
This Class II recall
was initiated Hadson Toko Trading Inc., by letter on September 27, 1999. This is the
first public notice issued by the FDA. The FDA has stated that the company has
completed all recall procedures.
