Reisman's Brand Chocolate Classic Croissants Recalled

New York, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Reisman Brothers Bakery is recalling Reisman's brand Chocolate Classic Croissants in 10-ounce rigid plastic packages, because the products contain undeclared egg whites.

Around 400 packages were distributed in New York and New Jersey.  All packages dated January 14 or before are affected by this recall.

This Class I recall was initiated by Reisman Brothers Bakery, by letter dated December 20, 1999, by visit, and by Allergy Alert issued on December 17, 1999.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.  The FDA has stated that the company has completed all recall procedures.
