Portland, OR (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that Sunset Deli is recalling Sunset Deli Tuna
Sandwiches, Net Wt. 6 ounces, because the product contained undeclared egg as a component
ingredient of mayonnaise.
The recalled sandwiches, with a pull
date of 4 04 or earlier, were distributed in Oregon. The firm estimates none remains
on the market.
This Class II recall
was initiated by Sunset Deli, by letter dated February 21, 2000. This is the first
public notice issued by the FDA. The FDA has stated that the company has completed
all required recall procedures.
