Trappey's Jalapeno BlackEye Peas Flavored with Slab Bacon Recalled

Alma, AR (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Allen Canning Company, is recalling Trappey's Jalapeno BlackEye Peas Flavored with Slab Bacon, in 15.5-ounce metal cans because some cans actually contained cut mustard greens.

Approximately 183 cases of the recalled products were distributed to WalMarts in Mississippi and Arkansas.  The cans bear the codes of 92923/CMG2 and 92924/CMG2.

This Class III recall was initiated by Allen Canning Company, letter dated December 14, 1999.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.  The FDA has stated that the company has completed all required recall procedures.
