Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that Twin Marquis Inc. is recalling spinach noodles,
packaged in 16-ounce plastic bags, because the product contained undeclared FD&C
Yellow No. 5 and FD&C Blue No. 1.
According to the FDA, approximately
1,500 packages were distributed in New York and bear no codes.
This Class II recall
was initiated by Twin Marquis Inc. by letter on July 27, 1999, followed by
telephone. This is the first public notice issued by the FDA. The FDA stated
that the company has completed all required recall procedures.
