Passaic, NJ (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) today reported that Daisy's Bakery, Inc. is recalling Gourmet Banana
Pound Cake because the product contained undeclared walnuts.
The recalled cakes, with a net weight
5 ounces (142 g), have no identifying codes.
According to FDA, 44 dozen 5-ounce
units were distributed in New Jersey. The firm estimates none remains on the market.
This Class I recall
was initiated by Daisy's Bakery by letter dated October 19, 1999. This is the first
public notice issued by the FDA. The FDA considers this recall to be complete.
