Tai Wing Hong Importer, Inc. Recalls Keo Chuoi brand Sweet Banana Candy

Brooklyn, NY (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Tai Wing Hong Importer, Inc. is recalling Keo Chuoi brand Sweet Banana Candy because the product contained undeclared peanuts and sesame seeds.

The recalled candy was sold in 8.8-ounce (250 g) rigid plastic containers and has no identifying code.

According to FDA, 19 cases (54 packages per case) was distributed in Florida, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland and Illinois.

This Class I recall was initiated by Tai Wing Hong by letter dated July 10, 1999.  This is the first public notice issued by FDA of this recall - FDA considers this recall to be complete.
