Grower's Pride Fruit Punch Recalled

Lake Wales, FL (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today reported that Citrus World, Inc. is recalling Grower's Pride Fruit Punch because the product contains undeclared pineapple juice, water-extracted orange solids, grapefruit juice, artificial flavors, and FD&C Red No. 40.

The recalled punch was sold in 16 fluid ounce glass containers and can be identified by the Date Code of EHCER.

According to FDA, 1,084 cases (12 bottles per case) were distributed in Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, California, Virginia, Ohio, Texas, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Minnesota.

This Class II recall was initiated by Citrus World by letter on April 13, 1999.  This is the first public notice issued by the FDA.  The FDA considers this recall to be complete.
