Recalls Various Flavors of Smoked Salmon

WA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) said today that C&H Classic Smoked Fish is recalling various
flavors of smoked salmon because the products contain undeclared FD&C Red No. 40.
This is the first public notice of
this Class III
recall issued by FDA.
Various flavors of smoked salmon:
a) Smoked Wild Salmon (regular flavor);
b) Garlic Smoked Wild Salmon;
c) Cajun Smoked Wild Salmon;
d) Garlic Pepper Smoked Wild Salmon.
All product distributed prior to 9/6/00.
C&H Classic Smoked Fish, Cathlamet, Washington.
Manufacturer, by visit between September 7 and 12, 2000. Firm-initiated recall **complete.
**Completed recall: While the FDA has completed
processing of this particular recall, it does not mean this particular product has been
fully accounted for.
