Artrain Brand Face Paints Recalled

First public notice issued by FDA of 'completed recall'...

Everett, WA (SafetyAlerts) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said today that Dollar Plus Inc. is recalling Artrain brand Face Paints because the product may contain the following undeclared and uncertified color additives:
sunset yellow FCF (certifiable as FD&C Yellow No. 6 - not allowed for coloring cosmetics intended for use in the area of the eye),
tartrazine (certifiable as FD&C Yellow No. 5),
allura red AC (certifiable as FD&C Red No. 40).

This is the first public notice of this Class II recall issued by FDA.
