Volvo 1997 - 850 and 1998 - S70, V70, C70 Vehicles Recalled

Washington, DC (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration today published the recall of certain Volvo 1997 - 850 and 1998 - S70, V70, C70 vehicles manufactured between August 1996 - February 1998 because operation of the headlight switch, over an extended period of time, can result in inconsistent operation of the switch.

Approximately139,588 automobiles are affected by this recall.

Dealers will replace the headlight switch.

Owner notification began in late August 1999. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Volvo at 1-800-458-1552.
