1996 Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Caravan & Grand Caravan
and Plymouth Voyager & Grand Voyager Mini-Vans Recalled
Washington, DC (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration today published the recall of certain 1996 Chrysler Town and
Country, Dodge Caravan & Grand Caravan and Plymouth Voyager & Grand Voyager
mini-vans manufactured between January 1995 - July 1996 because fuel can leak from the
fuel tank at the interface of the fuel pump module attachment. If a fuel leak occurs in
the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
Approximately 622,000 vehicles are affected by
Dealers will replace the fuel pump module
attaching nut. The sealing O-ring will also be replaced. Owner notification was expected
to begin during September 1999.

reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
