1999-2000 Harley-Davidson 1200 Motorcycles Recalled
Washington, DC (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration has published the recall of certain 1999-2000
Harley-Davidson 1200 motorcycles, manufactured between December 1997 - September 1999
because the handle bars on these motorcycles can break, causing the rider to lose control
of the motorcycle.
Approximately 9,800 vehicles are affected by this
Dealers will replace these handle bars.
Owner notification began during November 1999.
Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact
Harley-Davidson at 1-414-342-4680.
