Recalled Fuel Pressure Gauge and Sending Units because in the presence of an
ignition source, the vehicle could catch fire.

Manufactured: 10/1999 - 03/2002
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: AUTO METER FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE AND SENDING UNITS,
COMMONLY KNOW AS THE "SHORT-SWEEP" GAUGES, PART NOS. 2659, 3309, 3509, 4309,
4409, AND 5709, MANUFACTURED BETWEEN OCTOBER 1, 1999, AND MARCH 31, 2002.
DUE TO A PREMATURE FAILURE, THESE UNITS MAY LEAK FUEL.
IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, THE VEHICLE COULD CATCH FIRE,
POSSIBLY RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
AUTO METER PRODUCTS WILL NOTIFY ITS CUSTOMERS TO REMOVE THE SENDING UNITS
IMMEDIATELY. CUSTOMERS WILL RECEIVE REPLACEMENT PARTS FREE OF CHARGE WHEN
THEY BECOME AVAILABLE. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING APRIL
2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED
UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE
TIME SHOULD CONTACT AUTO METER PRODUCTS AT 815-895-8141.
