CHEVROLET Has Recalled BLAZER , JIMMY , BRAVADA
Detroit, MI (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published a recall affecting
the 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER , JIMMY , BRAVADA.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 506377
Manufactured: 09/1999 - 07/2000
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH COULD
DEVELOP AN OPEN CIRCUIT CONDITION WITH THE BOTTOM CONNECTOR IN THE HAZARD
SWITCH CARRIER THAT RESULTS IN THE STOP LAMPS AND THE HAZARD LAMPS BECOMING
INOPERATIVE. THE CENTER HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP AND TURN SIGNAL FUNCTIONS ARE
THE LOSS OF STOP LAMPS AND REAR HAZARD LAMPS COULD FAIL TO WARN A FOLLOWING
DRIVER THAT THE VEHICLE IS BRAKING AND/OR IS STOPPED AND COULD RESULT IN A
GM HAS NOT YET PROVIDED A REMEDY OR OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE FOR THIS
