2000-2001 Ford Windstar Recalled

Detroit, MI (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published a recall affecting 2000-2001 Ford Windstar, manufactured between February - December 2000.

On certain minivans equipped with an adjustable pedal option, the driver floor mat could interfere with the accelerator pedal, potentially resulting in a stuck throttle.

45,800 minivans are affected by this recall.

Dealers will replace both front driver and passenger side floor mats in the vehicle.

The manufacturer has reported that owner notification began July 6, 2001. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673.

affected by one of these posted recalls be sure and
write down the NHTSA

If your dealer doesn't know about the recall when you
check, ask them how they are notified of recalls and
