Aston Martin DB7, Volante and Vantage Automobiles Recalled

Detroit, MI (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published a recall affecting certain 1996-1998 as well as 2000-2001 Aston Martin DB7, Volante and Vantage automobiles.

The steering column lighting switch gear has a potential to trap wires, leading to a partial loss of lighting functionality. Depending on which wires are trapped, the loss of lighting functionality can vary. However, any loss of lighting functionality can lead to a possible vehicle crash.

3,238 vehicles are affected by this recall.

Dealers will repair the wiring. The manufacturer reported that owner notification would begin during April 2001.

Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Aston Martin at 1-201-818-8352.

affected by one of these posted recalls be sure and
write down the NHTSA

If your dealer doesn't know about the recall when you
check, ask them how they are notified of recalls and
