Baldwin and Hastings Fuel Filters Recalled
Detroit, MI (SafetyAlerts) - The National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has published a recall affecting Baldwin and

August 1999 and September 2000.
This recall involves certain aftermarket
diesel fuel filters used as replacement equipment on medium duty diesel trucks, Part

leakage in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire.
58,261 filters are affected by this recall.
Baldwin and Hastings will implement a program to
retrieve the diesel fuel filters.
The manufacturer has reported that owner
notification was expected to begin during December 2000. Owners should contact
