May 24, 20001999 Miata Roadsters Recalled
CA (SafetyAlerts) - According to a
press release issued by the company, Mazda North American Operations is conducting a
voluntarily recall of certain 1999 Miata roadsters because some vehicles may have a
sticking non-return valve in the fuel filler pipe.
This can cause the gas pump to shut
off repeatedly causing the fuel to overflow when refueling.
Owners of affected vehicles should
bring the vehicle to an authorized Mazda dealer for replacement of the non-return valve in
the fuel filler pipe. The repairs should take less than one hour and will be free of
